Job Details:
- Job Title: Sourcing / Procurement Specialist
- Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
- Duration: 12 Months Contract
- Pay Rate: $45 – $48/hr on W2
- Work Schedule: Standard business hours (flexible between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
Role Overview:
This role supports large capital and onsite services projects in a highly regulated environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing activities including intake review, vendor selection, sourcing events (RFPs), contract negotiation, execution, and ongoing supplier management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and validate sourcing requests from internal stakeholders
- Conduct vendor evaluations and risk assessments
- Lead sourcing events (RFPs/bidding)
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts
- Execute purchase orders and resolve invoice-related issues
- Manage supplier performance and contract compliance
- Maintain detailed contract documentation
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in strategic sourcing or procurement
- Contract negotiation and supplier management experience
- Experience working on large or complex projects
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP (highly preferred)
- Familiarity with sourcing tools like Coupa
- Background in energy, utilities, or construction projects
- CPSM or similar certification
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to pass enhanced background and compliance screenings
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
