Title: Equipment Operator I - Medical Device Assembly
Duration: 12 months contract
Location: Salt Lake City, UT 84123
Shift: Standard Shift
Position Summary
• Operate simple automated assembly machines in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform repetitive manufacturing tasks to support medical device assembly.
• Monitor machine performance, interpret faults, and ensure continuous operation.
• Ensure products meet quality standards through inspection and documentation.
Responsibilities
• Keep work area and equipment clean
• Read and understand procedures
• Operate equipment in accordance with company standards and procedures
• Start machines from power-off state
• Perform work order setups in electronic batch record, data acquisition, and inventory management systems
• Operate machines, jigs, and fixtures to produce quality products at established run rates
• Read and interpret gauges and dials on equipment
• Interpret machine faults, troubleshoot, and restart machines
• Complete production records and work order documentation
• Perform inspection or testing of product to ensure quality
• Weigh, count, package, and label finished product
• Operate multiple simple machines including press and torque fitments
Qualifications
Education:
• High school diploma, GED, or Employment Assessment
Experience:
• Entry-level manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
Skills:
• Ability to read and understand procedures
• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Ability to operate simple automated machinery
• Ability to interpret gauges and machine indicators
• Flexibility to operate multiple machines
• Attention to detail and quality
Additional Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Travel less than 5%
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
• Clean room environment
• Ability to sit or stand for duration of shift
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
• Perform visual inspections with and without magnification tools
• Exposure to solvents, glue, or solder
• Ability to perform repetitive movements
