Title: Mid-Level Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Associate
Location: Washington, DC

Responsibilities:
  • Advise clients on a range of executive compensation and employee benefits issues, including:
    • Equity plans and agreements
    • Executive retention packages
    • Retirement and welfare plans
    • Compensation and benefits considerations in mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions
  • Draft and negotiate relevant plan documents, disclosures, and transactional documents.
  • Support the Corporate practice in cross-functional teams, providing benefits guidance throughout deal lifecycle.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis of federal laws and regulations related to benefits and compensation (e.g., ERISA, IRC).
  • Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and third parties in a responsive, professional manner.
  • Manage multiple projects efficiently, meeting deadlines and maintaining high work quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Admitted to practice in Washington DC.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in employee benefits and executive compensation
  • AmLaw 100 law firm background preferred
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and business judgment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational and management capabilities
Education:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally ranked law school.
