Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT)
Location: Detroit, MI
Pay : $42-$45 (hourly)
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 09/21/2026 – 01/02/2027- with possible extension
Schedule: 4 days/week | 10-hour shifts
Shift: 7:30 PM – 6:30 AM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee complex sleep procedures and therapeutic interventions.
- Conduct CPAP and BiPAP titrations.
- Assist sleep technicians with troubleshooting during challenging polysomnography (PSG) data acquisition.
- Score and tabulate sleep recordings according to established guidelines, including:
- Sleep stages
- Respiratory events
- Limb movements
- Other sleep-related parameters
- Prepare detailed reports and performance summaries for physician interpretation.
- Maintain compliance with BRPT Standards of Conduct.
- Follow Henry Ford Health System Sleep Center guidelines for sleep reliability scoring.
- Work with patients beginning at 5 years of age.
- Complete on-the-job training for Epic.
Required Qualifications
- RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) certification through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT).
- BLS/BCLS certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to perform sleep reliability scoring according to HFHS Sleep Center guidelines.
- Strong knowledge of sleep study procedures and scoring.
- Strong understanding of CPAP/BiPAP titration.
