This position is responsible for actively selling memberships on-site, providing exceptional customer service, and educating guests about the benefits of membership and the museum’s programs, exhibitions, and events.
As a frontline representative, the Membership Manager creates a welcoming and informative experience for all visitors, helping to grow and retain the museum’s membership base. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a passion for arts and culture, and the ability to meet or exceed sales goals in a dynamic, visitor-focused environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Proactively engage with museum visitors to promote and sell memberships.
- The membership manager balances the front facing role with important membership strategy implementation and coordination for various membership campaigns and events.
- Clearly communicate the benefits of membership and current promotions.
- Assist with membership sign-ups, renewals, and inquiries at designated sales stations.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and visitor interactions.
- Collaborate with Visitor Services and Development teams to support membership campaigns and events.
- Stay informed about museum exhibitions, programs, and events to effectively share information with guests.
- Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals.
- Bachelor’s degree. College coursework in marketing, communications, or arts-related fields is a plus.
- Skills / Core Competencies
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or hospitality preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic, outgoing, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as needed.
- Passion for museums, arts, and cultural engagement.
- As needed, inclusion in official or incidental photographs and videos for MOTB and/or guests
- Passionate about the Bible and will champion our mission to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible.
