Job Purpose:
To provide high-quality nursing care and treatment to residents under the direction of the Director of Nursing, in accordance with facility policies, nursing standards, and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage resident care following nursing policies and procedures
- Supervise and guide nursing assistants
- Monitor and document resident condition and care accurately
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Participate in inspections and staff training
- Maintain compliance with all facility policies and state/federal guidelines
- Uphold a compassionate and respectful environment for residents and their families
Education & License:
- Must hold a valid Indiana RN license in good standing
- No experience required - On-the-job training provided
- Strong decision-making and communication skills
- Patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new practices
- Ability to work with individuals of varying maturity and emotional states
- Able to move and stand intermittently throughout the workday
- Able to lift residents and equipment when needed
- Must be in good general health with emotional resilience
- Active nursing environment (resident rooms, dining, activity areas, etc.)
- Frequent interaction with residents, staff, families, and outside personnel
- Exposure to infectious diseases and potentially hazardous substances
- Rotating weekends, holidays, and occasional call-backs during emergencies
