What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse position at Parkdale Center?
Preferably Psychiatric and Addiction experience but not required.
POSITION: The RN is responsible for providing medical screenings, medication management to a range of clients having addiction, mental health, and co-occurring disorders under the supervision of consulting psychiatric NP and the medical director.
The position also provides evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge planning services for clients receiving care at Parkdale Center. Parkdale Center is an Addiction Treatment Center specializing in Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient treatment. In addition, Parkdale Center is a Professionals treatment program focused on treating the Highly Accountable Professional (Lawyers, Nurses, Pharmacists, Business Executives, Physicians, Law Enforcement, etc.)
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide health and physical assessments, addiction screenings, and medication assessments and evaluations for patients. Develop individual treatment plans based upon assessment data and provide therapeutic interventions as necessary. Provide consultation and health education to staff and clients as needed. Maintain documentation of services rendered, treatment plans, progress notes, and medication consultations in compliance with Parkdale Center policies and procedures regarding the electronic medical record (EMR). Work collaboratively with consulting psychiatrist(s), NP's and the medical director with direct supervision. Work collaboratively with the clinical staff and provide supervision and guidance as needed regarding client care while providing high quality, safe, and effective medical and addiction care.
Candidate should possess an extensive knowledge of the etiology of addiction, substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders and their treatment by a variety of therapeutic interventions including psychopharmacology, nursing practice, and medical evaluation. Possess an extensive knowledge of the etiology of physical diseases and their treatment.
Current RN Licensure
2 years working in Addiction and Mental Health preferred, but no required.
Case Management experience is required
