This role is essential in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and attractive environment for our residents, families, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, furnishings, and property
- Maintain work order system to ensure timely and efficient repairs
- Keep all equipment in clean, safe, and serviceable condition
- Conduct scheduled maintenance on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and seasonal basis
- Safely store and handle hazardous chemicals per OSHA guidelines
- Assist with painting, minor carpentry, and other facility improvement projects
- Report and correct unsafe conditions promptly
- Coordinate with other departments to minimize interruptions to resident care
- Remain available to respond to facility emergencies as needed
- Complete additional duties assigned by the Maintenance Director
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or assistant
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety regulations
- Working knowledge of tools, appliances, and building systems
- Strong skills in painting, general repairs, and preventive maintenance
- Manual dexterity, problem-solving abilities, and physical strength
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours if needed
