Adult Ski & Ride School Instructor

POSITION SUMMARY

Entry-level or experienced instructor responsible for teaching the fundamental skills of skiing or snowboarding in a safe, engaging, and supportive environment to children and adults (aged 12 ). This role involves providing clear instruction on basic techniques, assisting students in building confidence on the slopes, and ensuring a fun and educational experience. The instructor demonstrates proper form, promotes safety practices, and adapts lessons to accommodate varying ages and abilities. With foundational knowledge of teaching principles and movement analysis, they work under the guidance of more experienced staff and contribute to a positive guest experience at the resort.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Required: Ability to ski and/or snowboard at an intermediate level.
• Required: Must be able to work the majority of the 25/26 Holiday Dates: November 26^th – 30^th, December 20^th – January 4^th, January 17^th – 19^th, and February 14^th – 22^nd.
• Required: Excellent English communication skills.
• Required: Must be able to pass a background check.
• Required: Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Required: Ability to work with people of all ages, especially children.
• Required: Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize tasks.
• Required: Ability to teach beginner level Skier and Snowboarders.
• Preferred: Entry level or prior experience instructing others who to ski/snowboard.
• Preferred: Able to work 3 days per week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teach ski/snowboard lessons as assigned.
• Observe all applicable safety standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service skills.
• Assist in general operation of all ski school activities.
• Provide information and answer questions about the resort to the resort guests.
• Any other duties that may contribute to the cleanliness, orderliness and overall efficiency of the entire operation and all of the tasks contained therein.
• Shovel/snow removal when needed.
• Set up/take down of Ski School staging areas.
• Operation of both Conveyor Belts.
• Complete all required paperwork: Class cards, time sheets, incident reports etc.
• Attend assigned trainings.
• Assist in preparing lesson plans for upcoming lessons.
