Property Accountant – Multifamily Real Estate | Philadelphia Metro Area

This role supports a portfolio of approximately 1,300 owned multifamily units, along with select third-party managed assets. Key Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Full-cycle property accounting for an assigned portfolio of residential and/or mixed-use assets
- General ledger management, journal entries, and month-end close processes
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Bank reconciliations and cash management
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Researching and resolving ledger discrepancies, P&L variances, and accounting issues
- Managing resident and ownership accounting inquiries with professionalism and urgency
- Supporting policy updates, onboarding/offboarding processes, and operational accounting changes
- Collaborating cross-functionally with property operations, leadership, and remote support staff
- Utilizing accounting and property management software to improve efficiency and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications Include
- 2 years of accounting or property accounting experience
- Multifamily or real estate accounting experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end procedures
- Experience with budgeting, reconciliations, financial statements, and variance reporting
- Ability to troubleshoot accounting discrepancies and identify process improvements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to work autonomously
- High level of accountability, urgency, and adaptability
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications and property management platform Entrada
