About the Role:

Reporting to the VP of Business Development, the BDM will focus on growing accounts within automotive OEMs and Tier 1–3 suppliers, as well as adjacent markets including heavy industry, logistics, and advanced manufacturing.
You’ll combine strategy, relationship-building, and hands-on sales execution — from prospecting and cold calls to presentations, trade shows, and on-site client visits. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys networking after hours, and can travel throughout the region as needed.
What You’ll Do:
Business Development & Sales Execution
- Develop and execute a regional sales plan aligned with company revenue goals.
- Identify, prospect, and nurture relationships with new and existing clients.
- Conduct a minimum of 10 meaningful client meetings weekly (in-person or virtual).
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline through Salesforce CRM, ensuring accurate forecasting.
- Lead proposal development, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations.
- Execute outbound campaigns via Pardot, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Partner with recruiting, operations, and finance to ensure profitable delivery and client satisfaction.
- Represent MS Companies at networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences.
- Support collections and account receivables as needed for regional accounts.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business, sales, or related field.
- 3–5 years of B2B sales or business development experience, ideally in automotive, manufacturing, or industrial markets.
- Proven success managing complex sales cycles and achieving KPIs.
- CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred); strong pipeline management discipline.
- Familiarity with modern outreach tools (Pardot & Sales Navigator).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- A self-starter mindset — organized, competitive, resilient, and accountable.
- Willingness to travel within the region and attend after-hours client events.
Why Join MS Companies
- Competitive base salary plus uncapped commissions and performance bonuses.
- Comprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision (Anthem BCBS), and 401(k) with match.
- PTO Paid Holidays.
- Collaborative, fast-paced culture where your results drive impact and advancement.
- Work directly with industry leaders across automotive, manufacturing, and advanced industries.
