Plant Quality Manager
Vance, AL | On-Site | Three-Shift Operation | Full Relocation Available
We Are Seeking an experienced Plant Quality Manager to lead site-level quality operations for a high-volume manufacturing facility in Vance, AL. This role has full ownership of Quality across a three-shift operation and leads a department of 30 quality professionals.
This position is ideal for a driven, empowering quality leader with strong automotive experience who values coaching, accountability, and long-term impact over micromanagement.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Lead the Plant Quality Department (30 employees) across all shifts
- Serve as the site Quality Management System representative
- Own customer and internal problem solving using 8D and 7Y methodologies
- Drive audit readiness and execution (internal, customer, and system audits)
- Ensure corrective actions and containment activities are effective and sustainable
- Partner with Operations and Engineering while maintaining independent quality authority
- Develop and coach quality leaders and frontline team members
- Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- 5–10 years of experience in a Quality Manager role within manufacturing
- Automotive manufacturing experience desired
- Experience leading large, multi-shift teams
- Strong, practical expertise in 8D analysis and 5Y methodology
- Recent audit experience required
- Leadership style focused on coaching and empowerment (not micromanagement)
- Bachelor’s degree desired
- Six Sigma certification desired
- Automotive seating experience desired
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder only (no sponsorship)
