Technical Sales Consultant

A growing custom polymer and plastics manufacturer in the Catskill area is looking for a Technical Sales Consultant who brings something most salespeople can't — deep manufacturing knowledge and the credibility to back it up. You're the expert in the room. The one clients trust. The reason deals get done.

What you'll own
- Be the technical authority in every major client conversation
- Translate complex manufacturing challenges into solutions clients actually understand
- Partner closely with the sales team to craft proposals that win on merit
- Travel to customer sites and build the kind of trust that keeps clients coming back (25–50%, mostly regional)
- Work hand in hand with engineering to develop accurate, competitive quotes
- Bring your expertise directly to leadership — and watch things move fast
What you bring
- 5 years in a technical, engineering, or customer-facing manufacturing role
- Deep familiarity with plastics manufacturing, mold fabrication, or polymer applications
- Comfortable with MRP/ERP systems and MS Office suite
- The kind of communicator who can simplify the complex without dumbing it down
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or equivalent
