About the OpportunityWe’ve partnered with a fast-growing food distribution and import organization supporting a diverse portfolio of international food products across multiple categories.
They are seeking a Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist to play a key role in supplier compliance, food safety, and regulatory oversight across both domestic and global vendors.
This is a high-impact role with strong exposure to supplier management, audits, and regulatory initiatives in a growing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing- Ensure supplier compliance with FDA, USDA, FSMA, and FSVP requirements
- Conduct hazard analysis for imported and domestic food products
- Manage supplier approval, onboarding, and ongoing monitoring programs
- Review supplier documentation, audit reports, and testing results
- Communicate with international vendors across multiple time zones
- Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues and complaints
- Support regulatory inspections and audit readiness (FDA, GFSI, etc.)
- Maintain and improve SOPs and supplier quality systems
- 3 years of experience in food safety, supplier quality, or manufacturing QA
- Strong knowledge of FSMA, FDA regulations, and supplier compliance
- Experience supporting audits and regulatory inspections
- Certifications such as FSVP, HACCP, or PCQI strongly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with global/imported food products
- Familiarity with systems like TraceGains, Repositrak, SAP, or NetSuite
- Experience working with multi-site or high-SKU operations
