Labeling Compliance Specialist (Food Industry)
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Labeling Compliance Specialist to join a fast-paced food environment. This role is key in ensuring product labels meet all FDA, USDA, state, and imported food regulations while supporting product launches and ongoing compliance.

What You’ll Do:
• Review and update product labels to ensure compliance with FDA (21 CFR), USDA, and state regulations
• Ensure accuracy of ingredients, allergens, disclosures, and claims
• Manage label updates tied to ingredient changes, regulatory updates, and new product launches
• Review legacy, flagged, and new products to improve label accuracy and reduce backlog
• Work directly with domestic & international suppliers to gather and validate label documentation
• Partner with QA, Marketing, and Procurement to move label projects forward efficiently
• Identify compliance gaps and potential risks (including recall risks) and escalate when needed
• Support and improve SOPs, processes, and best practices for labeling compliance
• Review marketing claims and product messaging to ensure they are compliant and supportable
What You Bring:
• BS in Food Science or related field
• 3–5 years of experience with FDA (21 CFR) and USDA labeling requirements
• FDA food labeling certification
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills
