Compensation: $130,000 – $155,000 Base Salary 12% Incentive Bonus

A boutique fiduciary and wealth services organization is seeking a highly experienced Senior Trust Officer specializing in Estate & Death Settlement. This individual will serve as the lead fiduciary and relationship manager on complex estate settlement engagements, guiding families, beneficiaries, attorneys, and advisors through sensitive administration processes with professionalism, empathy, and technical expertise.
This is a high-touch, relationship-driven role focused on fiduciary oversight, estate administration, probate coordination, and risk management. The ideal candidate will possess deep trust and estate administration experience, strong fiduciary judgment, and the ability to navigate emotionally sensitive family situations while ensuring accurate and compliant estate execution.
The role offers dedicated Trust Administrator support, allowing Senior Trust Officers to focus on client relationships, fiduciary decision-making, and complex trust administration rather than day-to-day administrative processing.

- Administer estates from intake through final distribution, including:

- Interpret wills, trust documents, and estate plans to ensure accurate execution and compliance
- Coordinate probate processes with estate attorneys and court systems as necessary
- Oversee payment of:
- Debts
- Taxes
- Expenses
- Estate obligations
- Manage communications with beneficiaries and families with empathy, professionalism, and emotional intelligence
- Partner closely with:
- Estate planning attorneys
- Tax professionals
- Financial advisors
- Internal trust administration teams
- Deliver a white-glove, high-touch client experience throughout sensitive estate settlement matters
- Identify and proactively manage:
- Fiduciary risk
- Delays
- Beneficiary disputes
- Administrative challenges
- Maintain detailed fiduciary records, reporting, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with fiduciary standards, trust regulations, and estate administration requirements
- 8 years of trust and estate administration experience
- Strong experience with:
- Estate settlement
- Death settlement administration
- Probate coordination
- Fiduciary oversight
- Deep understanding of:
- Fiduciary principles
- Estate administration workflows
- Regulatory requirements
- Trust document interpretation
- Strong knowledge of:
- Estate tax coordination
- Fiduciary income taxation
- Gift and Generation-Skipping Transfer Tax (GSTT) concepts
- Federal and state trust taxation issues
- UPIA principles
- Proven risk management and client relationship management skills
- Exceptional communication skills and emotional intelligence
- Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail
- CTFA designation preferred
- JD or CPA strongly preferred
- Experience working directly with estate attorneys, courts, and external advisors
- Strong background in fiduciary taxation and filing requirements
- Reports to Regional Trust Manager
- Ultimately aligned under senior trust leadership structure
- Supported by dedicated Trust Administrator resources
