A high-impact leadership opportunity for a Lead Financial Planner / Lead Advisor to take ownership of high-value client relationships within a fast-growing wealth management firm. This is not a maintenance role—it is a leadership seat responsible for driving client strategy, delivering comprehensive financial planning, and influencing how advice is delivered at scale. The role will immediately inherit a book of 100 clients and serve as the central point of coordination across investments, tax, estate, and risk planning. Ideal for a seasoned advisor who thrives in a client-facing, planning-driven environment and wants to play a key role in firm growth.
Position OverviewThe Lead Advisor will serve as the primary relationship manager for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, delivering holistic financial planning and strategic guidance. This role partners with internal specialists and external advisors to coordinate complex planning strategies while mentoring junior team members and contributing to firm-wide initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Leadership- Serve as the primary advisor for a book of HNW/UHNW clients
- Lead client conversations across financial planning, investments, tax strategy, and estate coordination
- Build long-term client relationships through proactive, high-touch service
- Translate complex strategies into clear, actionable plans
- Develop and deliver advanced financial plans across:
- Retirement planning
- Tax optimization
- Estate and wealth transfer strategies
- Coordinate with CPAs, estate attorneys, and investment professionals
- Guide clients through liquidity events, business transitions, and generational planning
- Drive organic growth through referrals, centers of influence, and networking
- Support new client acquisition and closing opportunities
- Contribute to firm growth strategy and market positioning
- Mentor Associate Advisors and Financial Planners
- Help refine planning processes, client experience, and service delivery models
- Act as a cultural leader, promoting accountability and excellence
- CFP® designation
- 7–10 years of experience in financial planning or wealth management
- Experience working with high-net-worth clients ($2M investable assets preferred)
- Strong client relationship management and communication skills
- Proven ability to retain and grow client relationships
- Experience in RIA or independent wealth management environments
- Background in tax and estate planning coordination
- Prior leadership or mentorship experience
