Senior Estimator – High Rise Luxury & Commercial
Hallandale Beach, FL | $150,000 – $170,000 base commission potential
Schedule: Full-time | Onsite (hybrid for first 3 months while office construction is completed)
About the Opportunity
A rapidly growing construction group specializing in luxury high-rise and commercial projects (up to 40 floors) is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction estimating efforts and serve as a client-facing representative. This role is ideal for someone with deep high-rise experience, strong presentation skills, and the ability to support project acquisition, pricing strategy, bid development, and estimation oversight. This position offers a clear advancement path into a Director-level role based on performance.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading estimating activities for high-rise and commercial construction projects
- Developing conceptual budgets, pricing strategies, bid packages, and cost models
- Reviewing drawings, contract requirements, specifications, and scopes of work
- Managing subcontractor outreach, bid lists, coverage, and cost evaluations
- Presenting to clients, developers, owners, and internal leadership teams
- Participating in networking events and leveraging industry contacts
- Supporting preconstruction planning, logistics, scheduling, and buyout strategy
- Preparing proposals, ITBs, RFQs, cost comparisons, and risk assessments
- Collaborating with VP, President, Construction Director, and Superintendents
- Mentoring junior estimating staff and improving department best practices
What They're Looking For
- 8 years of estimating experience in
high-rise luxury and commercial construction - Proven experience with buildings up to 40 floors
- Strong communication and presentation presence (client-facing)
- Ability to interpret drawings, scopes, schedules, and bid documents
- Experience with conceptual estimating and risk analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- Proficiency with:
- Procore
- Microsoft Office
- Bluebeam
Estimating software (SAGE/Timberline, On-Screen Takeoff, BuildingConnected)
Industry relationships with developers and contractors preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus but not required
