Human Resources Specialist
Full-Time | $65,000–$75,000
Location: Plainfield, IL
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Position Overview
We’re seeking a proactive, people-focused HR Specialist to support daily operations across multiple U.S. locations. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a mix of HRIS work, recruiting, onboarding, benefits support, payroll prep, compliance, and employee relations. Key Responsibilities
HRIS, Data & Reporting
Maintain accurate HRIS records; process hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
Generate reports and assist with audits to ensure clean and reliable data.
Recruiting & Onboarding
Post roles, source candidates, schedule interviews, and manage communication.
Lead onboarding tasks including I-9s, HRIS setup, orientations, and new hire support.
Employee Records & Benefits
Maintain confidential personnel files and support benefits enrollment, QLEs, and COBRA.
Provide friendly, knowledgeable employee assistance.
Payroll & Timekeeping
Review timecards, attendance, and payroll inputs for accuracy and compliance.
Partner with supervisors to resolve timekeeping issues.
Compliance, Safety & Training
Maintain OSHA logs, policy acknowledgments, and compliance documentation.
Support incident reporting and training coordination across locations.
General HR Support
Partner with HR leadership on projects, process improvements, and policy updates.
Serve as a reliable, approachable HR resource for employees.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of HR experience; multi-location support a plus.
HRIS experience (Paycom preferred); strong Microsoft Office/Google Workspace skills.
Knowledge of EEO, FMLA, ACA, I-9, and wage & hour regulations.
Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.
Able to handle confidential information with professionalism.
