Hartford, CT (Onsite) | $90K - $110K base benefits growth path
We're partnering with a fast-growing, relationship-driven wealth advisory firm in the Hartford area that is expanding its retirement plan division. We're looking for a polished, client-focused 401(k) Plan Specialist to support plan sponsors and participants, deliver enrollment education, and contribute to strategic plan design.This is a role for someone who loves retirement plans, enjoys being client-facing, and wants to help employees and business owners feel confident about their financial futures.

- Serve as a primary point of contact for retirement plan clients
- Lead group and one-on-one enrollment meetings (virtual & onsite)
- Provide participant education and answer plan questions in simple terms
- Support plan design discussions with third-party administrators
- Monitor compliance timelines (safe harbor notices, eligibility, contributions)
- Assist clients with key documents & annual filings
- Benchmark plans and identify areas for improvement
- Stay up-to-date on ERISA, DOL, IRS rules & market best practic\
- 3 years experience with 401(k) plans or retirement services
- Hands-on knowledge of ERISA rules & IRS/DOL regulations
- Strong communication & presentation skills — comfortable leading sessions
- Experience working with 401(k) recordkeepers & TPAs
- Ability to simplify complex topics for everyday participants
- Service-oriented, proactive, and dependable
- Licenses:
- Series 7 & 66 required (or ability to obtain in short order)
