Escrow Officers play a key role in real estate transactions by ensuring funds and documents are handled securely and accurately. This role is responsible for managing the closing process from start to finish, making sure everything is completed smoothly for buyers, sellers, lenders, and agents.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the full escrow and closing process for real estate transactions
- Serve as the main point of contact for buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, and attorneys
- Prepare and conduct closings for sale and loan transactions
- Review and resolve any title issues quickly and accurately
- Coordinate inspections, appraisals, and required services
- Communicate clearly with all parties and keep transactions on track
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulations
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the process
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and meet deadlines
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle issues efficiently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (ResWare is a plus)
- Solid understanding of real estate and escrow processes
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3–5 years of experience in escrow, title, or closing services
- Experience as a Title Examiner, Abstractor, or similar is a plus
- Must have (or be able to obtain) state title license and notary commission
