A Financial Planning Specialist role designed for a detail-oriented and client-focused professional to support the delivery of comprehensive financial planning services. This position partners closely with a Senior Financial Planner and offers hands-on mentorship, structured development, and exposure to high-net-worth planning. The role is ideal for someone early in their planning career who wants to grow into an advisory position. You will play a key role in supporting client relationships, maintaining financial plans, and ensuring a high-quality client experience.
Position OverviewThe Financial Planning Specialist is responsible for assisting in the development, maintenance, and analysis of client financial plans using eMoney or similar planning software. This role supports client-facing activities, data management, and financial modeling while working collaboratively across internal teams. The position emphasizes strong organization, attention to detail, and professional communication.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning Support- Assist in preparing, updating, and analyzing client financial plans using eMoney or similar software
- Support cash flow modeling, investment allocation analysis, and scenario planning
- Gather, input, and maintain client financial data for planning purposes
- Participate in client meetings to support planning discussions and develop advisory skills
- Provide responsive, professional client service and ensure timely follow-ups
- Maintain a high level of polish and professionalism in all client interactions
- Maintain accurate and organized client records
- Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and proper documentation standards
- Support preparation of materials for client meetings
- Work closely with Senior Planner and internal teams (advisory, operations, compliance)
- Ensure a seamless client experience across all touchpoints
- Demonstrate initiative in learning firm processes and planning methodologies
- 2 years of experience in:
- Financial planning
- Wealth management
- Investment operations or client service
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Client-facing professionalism and presentation ability
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Experience with eMoney (strongly preferred) or similar planning software
- CFP® certification or interest in pursuing CFP
