About the OpportunityWe’ve partnered with a nationally recognized private wealth management firm known for helping clients build financial clarity, confidence, and freedom. Due to an internal promotion, the team is hiring an Associate Financial Advisor to support a growing client base in the Ames area.
This is a hands-on, client-facing position designed for someone early in their advisory career who’s eager to learn from experienced advisors and eventually advance into a full advisory role.
What You’ll DoParticipate in client meetings alongside senior advisors and take clear follow-up notes.
Help create and update financial plans and supporting documents.
Manage workflows and client tasks in the firm’s CRM.
Ensure a seamless client experience from meeting prep to post-meeting action items.
Communicate professionally with clients via phone, email, and in person.
Pursue required licenses — Life & Health (within 6 months), Series 7 & 63 (within 12 months) — with full company support.
1 years of experience in financial services, wealth management, or related fields.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
Strong communication and organizational skills with a client-first mindset.
Desire to earn advanced credentials (CFP encouraged within 2 years).
High integrity, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for professional growth.
Proven career path: Internal promotion track to Lead Advisor.
