Fund Accounting Associate | NYC | Private Credit / Alternatives
Mission Staffing is partnered with a top-tier global alternative investment platform to hire a Fund Accounting Associate for its New York-based BDC Accounting team. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly sophisticated institutional platform operating at significant scale across private credit, structured finance, real estate, and broader alternative strategies.
The role offers direct exposure to complex retail alternative structures including BDCs, REITs, and multi-share class investment vehicles, with broad visibility across accounting, valuation, treasury, legal, investor reporting, and senior management.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Oversee and reconcile fund books and records alongside third-party administrators
- Review monthly NAV packages, fee calculations, capital activity, and expense allocations
- Maintain shadow accounting records and perform detailed reconciliations
- Review financing facility balances and interest expense calculations
- Assist with preparation of SEC 10-Q / 10-K filings, board materials, and internal reporting packages
- Partner cross-functionally with valuation, middle office, legal, investor relations, and product teams
- Support fund launches, operational enhancements, and process automation initiatives
- Participate in accounting policy analysis and technical reporting discussions
- Support quarterly reviews and annual audits with external auditors

Ideal Background:
• 2 years of fund accounting / public accounting / alternative asset management experience
• Exposure to private credit, BDCs, REITs, interval funds, or complex alternative products strongly preferred
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
