We are working with a leading financial institution seeking an experienced Corporate Actions Specialist to join the team on a 6 month contract assignment. This role will focus on the processing and oversight of voluntary corporate action events across a diverse portfolio of securities.
Responsibilities:
- Process and manage voluntary corporate action events from announcement through election and settlement.
- Review event details, communicate options to stakeholders, and ensure accurate election processing.
- Reconcile positions, entitlements, and election instructions with custodians and counterparties.
- Investigate and resolve breaks, discrepancies, and exception items.
- Partner with Trading, Operations, Custody, Asset Servicing, and external vendors to ensure timely event processing.
- Maintain adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.
- Support process improvement initiatives and project-related work.
Requirements:
- 5 years of Corporate Actions experience with a strong focus on voluntary events.
- Experience working at a bank, asset manager, hedge fund, or other financial institution.
- Strong understanding of the corporate actions lifecycle, including tender offers, rights offerings, consent solicitations, exchanges, and elections.
- Ability to analyze event documentation and communicate key information effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
