Job Description
Corporate Actions - Responsible for performing mandatory and voluntary corporate action-related custody and accounting processing requirements, such as dividend payments, reorganization/proxy, bond redemption, etc. Also responsible for managing and controlling high levels of risk and liability inherent in the various functions and for reconciliation activities, client reporting and proration on transactions. May allocate/coordinate work within a team/project.Meets with organizational units/teams to ensure corporate action events are being addressed appropriately. Determines impact of complex events and disseminates information regarding event to investors and client accounts. Uses in-depth area knowledge to apply ingenuity and creativity to common repeat problems and determines more permanent resolutions.Responsible for reviewing cash reconciliations, security and suspense transactions reviews adhering to established quality control measures and procedures.Responsible for researching and responding to inquiries from internal business groups, depositories, agents, brokers, clients, Investment Managers, sub custodians and/or custodians. Works on multiple systems to perform highly complex corporate action processing, including creating and scrubbing announcements, sending client instructions to third parties, and, posting online cash and security transactions. Participates in the development of documentation that is circulated to the market.Serves as a corporate actions expert for less experienced staff, expected to have an advanced understanding of all corporate action procedures, corporate action events and market practices.No direct reports but may provide guidance to less experienced team members. May have people management responsibilities in some geographies. Contributes to the achievement of related teams objectives.Bachelors degree in a related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced degree preferred7-10 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in financial services or corporate actions preferred. Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Eligible employees also may receive other benefits (including various paid time off benefits, such as vacation and sick time), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
