Middle Office & P/L Lead

We are partnering with a highly regarded investment firm in Connecticut seeking a P&L Lead to join its Middle Office team. This position will play a critical role supporting the trading desk through daily P&L oversight, risk reporting, and trade lifecycle management in a fast-paced investment environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the daily P&L production, validation, and sign-off process across multiple trading strategies.
• Perform detailed P&L attribution and investigate unexplained movements.
• Oversee position, cash, and trade reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of breaks.
• Analyze and report risk metrics, including Greeks and sensitivities.
• Partner closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams.
• Review trade activity and ensure accurate booking and lifecycle event processing.
• Drive process improvements, controls, and operational efficiencies across the Middle Office function.
• Assist with strategic initiatives, system enhancements, and ad hoc projects.

Requirements:

• 5 years of Middle Office experience within a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank, or similar trading environment.
• Strong experience with daily P&L production, validation, and attribution.
• Extensive reconciliation experience, including positions, cash, and trade breaks.
• Solid understanding of Greeks, risk sensitivities, and exposure reporting.
• Strong knowledge of the trade lifecycle and post-trade processes.
