Job Summary

Unity Health and Rehabilitation Center, a leading provider of rehabilitation and skilled nursing care, is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic therapy team on a full time basis. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their goals and regain independence in our state-of-the-art facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients with various medical conditions and disabilities
• Conduct occupational therapy treatments and activities under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist
• Use therapeutic modalities, such as exercises, activities, and interventions, to promote patient participation, mobility, and independence
• Document patient progress and treatment plans in a timely and accurate manner
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care and coordination
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
  
  
  

Requirements

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in the state of Florida
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience as a COTA (new graduates encouraged to apply)
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient populations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
