Job Summary
We are hiring an Assembler , General (Press Operator) for a rubber molding facility in Sumter, SC. This role involves conducting quality checks on rubber stopper pads and operating a heated press machine. 2 positions available.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Conduct quality checks on rubber stopper pads
- Operate a heated press machine
- Use a mallet hammer and other hand tools
- Perform fabrication, assembly, testing, and packaging tasks for medical devices
- Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment
- Conduct quality inspections on the processing line per quality specifications
- Work within clearly defined SOPs and adhere to quality guidelines
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and Team Lead/Supervisor
- Rotate into different tasks and responsibilities as needed
- 0 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Zero (0) to one (1) year of manufacturing assembly experience required
- Previous manufacturing work experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend specifications written in English
- Basic math calculation skills
- Ability to use basic tools of measurement, such as microscopes
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Comfortable using hand tools (mallet hammer, etc.)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must pass eye exam
- Steel toe or composite-toe shoes required
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- No drug screening required for this assignment
- Background check must clear (may start with background pending)
- Willing to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Willing to work H-Shift schedule (3 on/2 off/2 on/3 off, including weekends)
