Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic, outcomes-driven Director of Marketing to lead and scale our marketing function globally. This individual will define and execute innovative marketing strategies that drive brand growth, demand generation, and market penetration across B2B channels. The ideal candidate is a seasoned marketing leader with deep experience in growth strategy, channel and partner marketing, demand generation, and integrated marketing communications. This role has global responsibility for marketing strategy and execution across North America, Europe, and Asia. The Director of Marketing will ensure consistent global brand standards while enabling regional flexibility to support local markets, customers, and regulatory requirements. This leader will operate as a strategic partner to executive leadership and regional business heads.
Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business objectives to accelerate growth and enhance market positioning.
Lead development of annual marketing plans, budgets, and KPIs to ensure measurable results across all marketing channels.
Own and execute the global marketing strategy, ensuring alignment across regions while tailoring execution to local market needs.
Establish and enforce global brand governance, messaging frameworks, and design standards across all regions and subsidiaries.
Partner with regional leadership teams to support market entry, localization, and customer-specific go-to-market initiatives.
Oversee regional marketing plans, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure consistency, ROI, and accountability.
Coordinate global product launches, campaigns, and announcements across time zones and markets.
Brand & Go-to-Market Strategy
Oversee brand strategy, messaging, and positioning to strengthen brand equity and differentiation.
Drive go-to-market (GTM) strategy for new product launches and key initiatives.
Demand Generation & Growth
Lead demand generation efforts across digital, field, partner, and channel marketing to drive qualified leads, pipeline, and revenue.
Optimize marketing funnel performance using data-driven insights and analytics.
Marketing Operations
Implement scalable processes, systems, and tools that improve efficiency, measurement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Oversee CRM, marketing automation, analytics platforms, and performance dashboards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Finance to ensure alignment on targets, messaging, and customer insights.
Work closely with creative and content teams to deliver high-impact campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
Thought Leadership & External Communications
Lead PR, corporate communications, events, and industry analyst relations to elevate executive and company visibility.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and external forums.
Team Leadership
Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and accountability.
Lead, mentor, and scale a global marketing organization, including regional marketing leads, demand generation, content, PR/communications, and digital teams.
Define organizational structure, roles, and career paths to support growth and succession planning.
Set clear performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability frameworks for direct and indirect reports.
Manage external agencies, consultants, and vendors across regions to supplement internal capabilities.
Foster a culture of execution discipline, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Executive & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary marketing liaison to executive leadership, providing clear, data-driven updates on performance, pipeline contribution, and brand health.
Support investor relations, earnings communications, and executive messaging as required for a public or growth-stage company.
Ensure marketing activities align with corporate governance, compliance, and brand-risk standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience
10 years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with a strong record of driving growth and brand performance in complex, high-growth environments.
Proven success leading demand generation, channel marketing, and strategic GTM initiatives.
Demonstrated experience leading global or multi-regional marketing teams.
Proven ability to operate across cultures, time zones, and international business environments.
Experience supporting complex B2B and/or B2B2C sales models across multiple geographies.
Comfort operating in a matrixed organization with dotted-line regional reporting structures.
Preferred Skills
Deep expertise in integrated marketing, digital acquisition, CRM/automation, and performance analytics.
Strong business acumen with the ability to translate insights into strategic action.
Exceptional written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
Experience managing cross-functional teams and external agencies.
Willingness to travel internationally as required to support regional teams, customers, and strategic initiatives.
