Job Description

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will:

• Design, develop, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to increase throughput, reduce defects, and improve overall process capability.
• Provide day‑to‑day technical support to production operations, troubleshooting process issues and driving root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, DOE, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
• Specify, evaluate, and support installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and fixtures.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, process flow diagrams, and technical reports.
• Support new product introduction (NPI), process development, and scale‑up from pilot to full production.
• Partner with Quality Engineering to ensure processes meet internal standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Manufacturing Engineer should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing, or a related discipline
• 8 years of experience in ceramics, casting, injection molding, composites, or high‑precision manufacturing or 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in complex production environments.
• Strong experience supporting high‑volume or high‑mix manufacturing with a focus on quality and process control.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD) for tooling, fixtures, and process layouts.
• Demonstrated success applying Lean, Six Sigma, statistical analysis, and data‑driven problem solving.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work cross‑functionally across engineering, quality, and operations teams.
• Ability to work on the manufacturing floor, including standing/walking for extended periods and wearing required PPE.
