Registered Nurse - Orthopedic Surgery - Full-Time Night

Role: Provides clinical leadership in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring patient-centered care through evidence-based nursing practices.

Responsibilities Include

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, developing and updating individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Implementing and monitoring care, delegating tasks appropriately, and ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards (TJC, CMS, SC DPH), and the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act.
• Promoting safety protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and cost-effective practices while utilizing technology and performance data.
• Providing patient education, advocating for patients, and coordinating care transitions effectively.
• Maintaining professional licensure and competencies through ongoing education and self-assessment.
  
  

Qualifications And Skills

• Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred) or nursing diploma with RN licensure.
• At least one year of RN experience or equivalent residency/program completion; LPN experience may be considered for internal candidates.
• Current RN license recognized by NCSBN Compact or applicable state licensing.
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles, safety, and regulatory standards; excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  
  

Additional Details: This role involves providing direct patient care, supervising delegated tasks, engaging in continuous quality improvement, and working primarily night shifts in an inpatient orthopedic unit.
