Mental Health Counselor (Master’s)

Role Overview

The Senior Mental Health Counselor provides counseling, education, and case management within a new Walk-In Behavioral Health Clinic, supporting a multidisciplinary team. They develop and maintain program processes and group curricula, demonstrating advanced clinical skills and serving as a resource for colleagues.

Responsibilities Include

• Delivering structured counseling and case management services to clients
• Assisting in program development and maintaining clinical processes
• Serving as a clinical resource and supporting team collaboration

Qualifications And Skills

• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
• Alaska clinical licensure (e.g., Social Worker, Psychologist, Therapist, Counselor) upon hire
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association)
