The role involves providing direct nursing care to anesthetized patients in the post-operative or post-procedural period within the Surgical Services/PACU/Recovery department.
Responsibilities include following aseptic sterile techniques per AORN/ASPAN standards, evaluating patient responses to treatments, managing pain, and anticipating case-specific needs based on procedures and pathophysiology.
Qualifications include current licensure as an RN from the Alabama Board of Nursing, BLS certification within one month, and Advanced Life Support certification within six months. A graduate of an accredited nursing program is required.
Ideal candidates will have strong clinical skills, knowledge of perioperative standards, and ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
