Role: Conducts quality inspections using NDT methods such as X-ray, penetrant, and magnetic particle testing to evaluate surface and subsurface discontinuities, ensuring hardware meets customer specifications.
Responsibilities: Certifies product conformance, develops NDT techniques, performs inspections, maintains equipment, processes X-ray films, and documents results accurately. Communicates with engineers regarding rework and scrap issues, maintains lot integrity, and assists in related areas as needed.
Qualifications & Skills: Certified or capable of certifying in RT, PT, and MP; proficient in interpreting specifications, blueprints, and measuring tools; effective communicator; able to solve practical problems; physically capable of lifting up to 35 lbs., working in hazardous environments, and wearing protective gear. Skilled in Microsoft Office and able to pass required certifications.
Key Duties: Perform preventative maintenance on NDT equipment, operate vapor degreaser, process and verify X-ray films, perform surface treatments, and ensure paperwork accuracy. Adhere to safety protocols, environmental conditions, and quality standards in a production environment.
