What are the responsibilities and job description for the NDT Technician Level 1 (Weekend Shift) position at Fairview Hospital / Cleveland Clinic?
Role: Responsible for performing on-site quality inspections using NDT methods such as X-ray, penetrant, and magnetic particle testing to evaluate surface and subsurface discontinuities according to specifications.
Responsibilities: Certify product conformity, develop NDT techniques, perform inspections, interpret results, maintain equipment, process X-ray films, and ensure proper documentation. Communicate with engineers on rework and scrap issues, maintain lot integrity, and assist other areas as needed.
Qualifications & Skills: Certified in RT, PT, and/or MP with knowledge of inspection standards. Ability to read blueprints, interpret specifications, operate measuring tools, and use Microsoft Office. Physical ability to lift weights, work in hazardous environments, and pass visual and color perception tests. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
Key Duties: Perform preventative maintenance, calibrate equipment, process materials, and ensure safety protocols. Work in environments with potential exposure to hazardous waste, fumes, and noise, requiring appropriate PPE. Maintain compliance with security and export control regulations.
