We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide compassionate, knowledgeable, and individualized nursing care in a surgical center specializing in procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and hemorrhoid banding.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care under the supervision of the Center Manager.
- Monitor and assess patients in the post-operative area, ensuring safety and proper documentation.
- Transport, position, and provide pre- and post-procedure care, including patient education and discharge instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment, ensuring equipment functionality and adherence to safety protocols.
- Follow infection control standards, including CDC precautions and aseptic techniques.
- Participate in quality improvement and safety programs, and perform clerical duties as needed.
- Current licensure as a Practical Nurse.
- Proficiency in monitoring equipment, patient assessment, and documentation.
- Knowledge of infection control, safety procedures, and patient care standards.
- Strong communication skills to effectively instruct patients and families.
