Senior Vice President, Brand Strategy

The Opportunity
As SVP, Brand Strategy, you will serve as a senior strategic partner to both clients and internal teams, helping to drive brand growth, launch excellence, and innovative healthcare communications across a diverse portfolio of pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
You'll be responsible for leading strategic thinking from brand planning through to execution, ensuring that all work is grounded in meaningful customer insights and delivers measurable business impact. This role will also play a key part in agency leadership, mentoring strategy talent, supporting new business efforts, and helping to further evolve the agency's strategic offering.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead brand strategy across a portfolio of healthcare and pharmaceutical accounts
- Develop compelling brand positioning, messaging platforms, and communication strategies
- Translate complex scientific and market insights into actionable brand opportunities
- Partner closely with Creative, Account, Medical, and Client teams to shape integrated campaigns
- Facilitate workshops, brand planning sessions, and strategic client engagements
- Guide launch planning and lifecycle strategy for pharmaceutical and biotech products
- Lead customer insight generation across HCP, patient, caregiver, payer, and stakeholder audiences
- Present strategic recommendations to senior client stakeholders and executive leadership teams
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level strategists
- Support agency growth through participation in pitches, business development, and thought leadership initiatives
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the agency's strategic capabilities and culture
Ideal Background
- Significant experience within healthcare advertising, healthcare communications, or pharmaceutical brand strategy
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical marketing, healthcare customer journeys, and brand development
- Experience supporting product launches and/or major brand transformation initiatives
- Proven ability to lead strategic engagements with senior pharmaceutical and biotech stakeholders
- Exceptional storytelling, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Collaborative leadership style with experience managing and developing teams
- Ability to balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
