About the Position
Meest America Inc., an international logistics and parcel-shipping company, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Material Handler for our Piscataway facility.
This position is best suited for someone who is comfortable with continuous physical warehouse work, loading and unloading trucks and trailers, moving parcels, sorting shipments, and handling a high volume of packages throughout the workday.
Key Duties
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, containers, parcels, and freight
- Move, sort, scan, and stage inbound and outbound shipments
- Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull packages throughout the shift
- Assist with palletizing, package sorting, shipping, and receiving
- Use RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment, as applicable
- Organize freight and prepare shipments for dispatch
- Maintain safe and efficient warehouse operations
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume logistics environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly handle packages weighing approximately 10–60 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Comfortable performing repetitive loading/unloading and material-handling duties throughout the shift
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience as a Loader/Unloader, Material Handler, Package Handler, Dock Worker, Warehouse Associate, Shipping/Receiving Associate, or Freight Handler preferred
- Prior experience in a logistics company, parcel facility, distribution center, fulfillment center, freight warehouse, or high-volume warehouse operation highly preferred
- Direct experience loading/unloading trucks or trailers is a strong advantage
- Experience with RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, palletizing, sorting, shipping, or receiving preferred
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and dependable transportation to Piscataway, NJ required
