We're seeking skilled Saw Operators to join a thriving industrial equipment manufacturer as they ramp up their fabrication operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with a long history (over a century!) and contribute to their expanding production capacity, which includes the launch of a second shift to meet the demands of custom machinery and data center infrastructure projects.
Your Day-to-Day:
Run horizontal band saws (such as Clausing Kalamazoo)
Interpret technical blueprints and cutting specifications
Configure saws to handle diverse metal types, lengths, and angles
Confirm accuracy of cuts using precision tools like calipers, tape measures, and squares
Ensure cuts meet the precise tolerances needed for subsequent machining and welding processes
Help maintain a safe and orderly work environment for the team
Be available for overtime to ensure production goals are achieved
What You'll Bring:
Minimum of 5 years' experience operating horizontal band saws
Proven experience in cutting both steel and aluminum materials
Demonstrated ability to accurately read blueprints
In-depth knowledge of dimensional tolerances
Willingness to work overtime as needed
You should demonstrate proficiency in:
- Tolerance Analysis
- Blueprint Reading
