Robotics Systems Support Engineer

As a Robotics Systems Support Engineer, you will serve as a critical link in maintaining the operational integrity of complex automated material handling systems. You will leverage your expertise in PLC programming and electromechanical troubleshooting to optimize system performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives across our client sites.

• Oversee the real-time health and performance of automated robotic vehicles, vertical lifts, and associated material handling hardware.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical bottlenecks to minimize downtime and maximize throughput efficiency.
• Translate intricate technical data into actionable insights for cross-functional teams and onsite stakeholders.
• Document system anomalies and collaborate with engineering departments to implement long-term technical solutions.
• Mentor onsite personnel on the operation of warehouse management systems and robotic hardware to foster a culture of technical proficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at standardizing operational procedures and enhancing overall system reliability.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, including LOTO and fall protection, to ensure a secure working environment.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or equivalent field experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated industrial systems.
• Proficiency in PLC platforms such as Allen Bradley or Siemens and experience with Linux or Python.
• Proven ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced, high-stakes operational environments.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various customer locations as needed.

Preferred Skills

• Direct experience with ABB robotics or similar industrial automation platforms.
• Strong background in SQL for data analysis and system reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively at heights and within confined industrial spaces.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause analysis and preventative maintenance.
