Manufacturing Press Department Supervisor

As a Manufacturing Press Lead, you will serve as a pivotal supervisor for our production floor, driving operational excellence and team engagement. You will leverage your expertise in high-volume stamping environments to optimize throughput, mentor staff, and champion a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

• Direct daily stamping press operations to ensure production targets are met with precision and efficiency.
• Cultivate a safety-first environment by conducting regular audits, leading root-cause analyses, and enforcing strict compliance protocols.
• Empower team members through active coaching, professional development, and consistent performance management.
• Analyze production bottlenecks and downtime data to implement effective Lean manufacturing solutions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance and quality departments to resolve technical issues and minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain accurate operational records and report key performance indicators to leadership to support data-driven decision-making.
• Facilitate a collaborative workplace by addressing employee relations concerns and fostering open communication.

Required Skills

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience within a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in stamping press operations and production scheduling.
• Strong working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams in a production environment.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations Management.
• Experience navigating unionized environments or labor relations.
• Prior involvement in Kaizen events or structured process improvement initiatives.
