About the Position

We are currently looking for skilled Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join our team in a fast-paced, heavy manufacturing setting. Your primary focus will be to ensure operational excellence by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our production machinery, automated systems, and facility infrastructure to keep downtime to a minimum.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance, specifically demonstrating proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, PLCs, robotics, and various forms of industrial automation.

Shift Availability
  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Some flexibility regarding the start time for the first shift may be considered.
  • Significant overtime is currently available, typically ranging from 10 to 20 hours weekly, which may include weekend assignments.
Core Responsibilities
  • Execute emergency repairs and equipment rebuilds to help maintain continuous production flow.
  • Resolve issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated platforms.
  • Utilize technical schematics and diagrams to accurately diagnose electrical faults.
  • Troubleshoot and service equipment operating at voltages reaching 480V.
  • Replace motors and perform necessary wiring and electrical maintenance tasks.
  • Leverage PLC interfaces to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot complex industrial robotic and automation systems.
  • Help ensure high-quality output by repairing CNC machinery and automated systems.
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks to support overall Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) goals.
  • Ensure all production and support equipment remains in peak operating condition.
  • Assist in the installation, repair, and improvement of facility equipment.
  • Maintain precise records and documentation of all maintenance activities.
  • Contribute to a safer workplace by keeping your area clean and organized.
  • Work autonomously or provide guidance to smaller teams as the situation requires.
  • Complete additional maintenance-related tasks and special projects as directed.

Required Skills & Experience

Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the following three areas:

  • Hydraulics
  • Blueprint and schematic interpretation
  • Electrical troubleshooting

We are seeking candidates who balance strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with a primary strength in electrical systems.

Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience in an industrial maintenance role is preferred.
  • A technical diploma in a related field is considered an asset.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate comfort in troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to perform duties independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong organizational capabilities and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required by production needs.
  • Must be comfortable working within a heavy manufacturing facility.

Work Environment

This role is located in a heavy manufacturing facility that is not climate-controlled. You should be prepared for exposure to the following conditions:

Candidates must be prepared to work in a physically demanding industrial setting.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for long durations.
  • Capacity to bend, reach, and maneuver in awkward spaces.
  • Ability to perform tasks at elevated heights when necessary.
  • Capacity to lift up to 70 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to maintain safety standards while working near heavy machinery.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay rate of $28–$43/hour, commensurate with experience.
  • 5% shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
  • Overtime compensation at 1.5x for hours exceeding 40 per week.
  • Sunday overtime pay at 2x.

Employment Details

Positions are offered on a contract-to-hire basis, with the potential for direct-hire placement for highly qualified individuals.
