We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to ensure the reliability and optimal performance of our equipment and facilities. In this role, you will apply your expertise in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to troubleshoot issues, implement repairs, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Your proficiency in problem-solving and equipment maintenance will be crucial to our operational success.
Responsibilities- Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring all equipment, building, and plant operations are in excellent working order.
- Plan and execute maintenance tasks and repairs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
- Implement engineering modifications to equipment to improve performance and reliability.
- Oversee the installation of new equipment, coordinating with contractors and vendors to ensure seamless integration.
- Manage parts orders and inventory to ensure timely availability for repairs and projects, reducing delays.
- Execute planned downtime activities, such as blade and screw changes, to maintain equipment efficiency.
- Lead complex repair tasks, such as large bearing and gearbox replacements, to restore equipment functionality.
- Develop and track equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement and optimize maintenance strategies.
Required Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in industrial maintenance, ideally through a vocational program or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and articulating booms.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to read, speak, and write English fluently.
- Experience in negotiating with vendors and contractors.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage priorities effectively.
