About the Role
As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the seamless operation of our production facility by performing critical repairs and preventative maintenance. You will play a vital role in minimizing downtime and optimizing equipment performance through your technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Responsibilities- Execute repairs and routine maintenance on production machinery, conveyor systems, and motors to ensure operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with mechanical drive systems, hydraulic circuits, and pneumatic equipment.
- Diagnose electrical faults and perform repairs on circuits using multimeters and wiring diagrams.
- Dismantle equipment to inspect components for wear and replace defective parts to prevent future failures.
- Utilize metalworking tools like drill presses and grinders to fabricate or repair necessary machine parts.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status through our digital work order system.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, to ensure a secure work environment.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance (PM) tasks to extend the lifespan of critical plant assets.
Required Skills
- Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on vocational training.
- 6-12 months of experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance environment.
- Proficiency in reading technical prints, wiring diagrams, and understanding metric/English fastener specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Demonstrated ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in varied environmental conditions.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced knowledge of electric motor types and complex circuit troubleshooting.
- Experience with precision measurement tools and advanced metalworking techniques.
- Strong analytical skills for diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical failures.
