We are looking for a seasoned Quality Manager who possesses deep expertise in metallurgy and heat treatment to spearhead our quality programs in a manufacturing setting. In this capacity, you will be responsible for managing the quality management system, offering specialized metallurgical guidance, collaborating with production staff and clients, and championing ongoing process enhancements. We are seeking a professional who is comfortable performing hands-on microstructure analysis, resolving heat treat process issues, and guaranteeing that all outputs align with both industry standards and client expectations.
Core Responsibilities- Direct the Quality Department by fostering an environment centered on excellence and perpetual growth.
- Resolve internal and external quality issues by investigating root causes and executing effective corrective measures.
- Conduct metallurgical assessments, which include microstructure examination, hardness testing, and failure analysis.
- Offer technical guidance on heat treatment operations to help the team achieve superior mechanical and metallurgical product standards.
- Create, update, and refine quality protocols, standard operating procedures, and instructional documentation.
- Manage both internal and external audit processes to guarantee full adherence to relevant industry regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and clients to address and solve technical or quality-related challenges.
- Examine quality metrics to spot patterns and execute process upgrades that minimize defects and boost product uniformity.
- Coach and develop quality staff members to foster a culture of professional growth and individual accountability.
- Maintain precise and organized inspection records, certifications, and quality documentation.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a Quality Manager, Metallurgist, Metallurgy Engineer, or comparable leadership position.
- Comprehensive knowledge of metallurgy, heat treating, and ferrous material properties.
- Proven ability to conduct microstructure evaluations and interpret the resulting metallurgical data.
- Technical proficiency in heat treatment methods like carburizing, quenching, tempering, annealing, or induction hardening.
- Experience in spearheading root cause analysis and deploying effective corrective solutions.
- Working knowledge of ISO/IATF or similar quality management frameworks is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and solve complex problems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, though equivalent professional experience is also acceptable.
