EHS Regulatory Specialist

As an EHS Regulatory Specialist, you will spearhead our safety strategy by developing robust policies that ensure a secure and compliant workplace. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of safety, driving environmental health initiatives, and mitigating operational risks to maintain an accident-free environment.

• Design and deliver comprehensive safety training programs to enhance employee awareness and workplace security.
• Lead root-cause investigations for workplace incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Ensure full regulatory compliance by managing OSHA reporting and liaising with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Oversee health and safety programs, including personal exposure assessments and facility-wide hazard audits.
• Manage Worker’s Compensation claims and collaborate with legal counsel to optimize case outcomes.
• Direct plant security operations and maintain accurate documentation for SDS and food safety GMP standards.
• Facilitate the employee Safety Committee to drive continuous improvement in safety metrics and incident prevention.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
• Active certifications in CPR, First Aid, AED, and Blood Borne Pathogens.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field.
• Previous experience working within a unionized environment.
• Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional safety initiatives.
