Responsibilities- Set up and adjust punches and dies in the turret, aligning work-pieces accurately using machine scales and gauges.
- Execute punching operations based on specifications, ensuring each setting meets the required standards.
- Interpret blueprints and work orders to determine appropriate machine operations and settings.
- Conduct thorough quality checks using precision instruments like calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to verify part dimensions.
- Maintain accurate records of completed and scrapped parts, updating the company database as needed.
- Keep tools, instruments, and equipment clean and in good working order, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings and work operations sheets.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience operating a turret punch press.
- Familiarity with data entry and inventory management systems.
- Strong mathematical skills, including working with fractions, decimals, and whole numbers.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
