VP - IT Audit Infrastructure

Overview

A major North American financial institution is seeking a VP – IT Audit (Infrastructure) to lead infrastructure-focused audit coverage within a complex, regulated banking environment.

This is a people leadership role responsible for managing a team of IT Audit professionals while providing strategic oversight of enterprise technology risk across cloud, data center, network, and cybersecurity environments. The position offers strong executive exposure and influence over enterprise technology governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee audit coverage of enterprise technology infrastructure, including cloud, network, cybersecurity, data center, and IT general controls
• Manage and develop a team of IT Audit professionals, including performance management, coaching, and resource allocation
• Plan and execute complex, risk-based audit engagements to ensure appropriate coverage across infrastructure environments
• Contribute to the annual risk assessment and audit planning process
• Provide strategic advisory insights to senior leadership on technology risk and control effectiveness
• Identify emerging risks, regulatory changes, and infrastructure vulnerabilities impacting the organization
• Review audit findings, validate remediation efforts, and escalate significant issues as appropriate
• Maintain strong relationships with technology, risk, and control partners across the organization
• Drive continuous improvement in audit methodology, efficiency, and team capability

Qualifications

• 10 years of IT Audit or Technology Risk experience
• 7 years focused on infrastructure audit
• Background from Big 4 / Big 8, Protiviti, or financial services industry
• Prior people management experience required
• Deep knowledge of ITGCs, cloud environments, cybersecurity controls, and infrastructure risk
• Experience operating in a regulated financial services environment
• Bachelor’s degree required
• CISA or similar certification preferred
