The client
An independent Crop Consulting organisation focused on high value fresh market produce. Their services include Crop Consulting, Contract Research and Pesticide tracking.
Location: On-site
The Role
This role serves as the primary scientific authority and strategic visionary for the organization. The Director acts as the link between research discoveries and actionable solutions for their clients.
Responsibilities
- Scientific Leadership: Serve as the definitive authority on the identification and management of biotic crop interferences.
- Operational Excellence: Develop and implement standardized scouting protocols and rigorous quality control measures for field operations.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively monitor invasive species and emerging agricultural threats, developing preemptive strategies to safeguard crop health.
- Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with key industry influencers, strategic partners, and high-value clients.
- Client Acquisition: Support business development efforts by demonstrating the technical value proposition of the firm’s services.
Requirements/Qualifications
- At least 10 years of Crop Scouting experience
- Experience working with Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
- Strong knowledge of the high value Fresh produce market
- Experience working with Clients as well as acquiring new clients

Salary: $150,000-$175,000 base salary
